Held On Friday, February 19, 2021, At The NDUCL Campus on 15th Street (Beachside), Sinkor
Cognizant of the varied experiences of students who represent a wide range of educational preparation and socio-economic background, we decided to launch a college preparatory program for high school graduates.
The Program dubbed Gateway to College is designed to provide a positive college preparation experience for high school graduates who are passionate about enrolling in college, and becoming major contributors to positive nation-building.
We developed a simple design that encompassed Mathematics, English Language, and a unique course, Introduction to College (ITC).
65 high school graduates registered for the Two Sections of the Gateway to College Program. Certificate of Participation was given by the president Fr. Dr. Maroun Zogheib, to 46 students who met the completion requirements of the GTCP. Fr. Dr. Maroun also challenged the Gateway to College Participants to take advantage of this opportunity to enroll at NDUCL.
Dr. Dennis Nyamieh Walker, Vice President for Academic Affairs, presents a brief history of NDUCL and encouraged the students to focus on developing themselves as trustworthy professionals.
The protocol of the Program was professionally handled by Ms. Margaret P. Marshall-Feury, Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management. She ensured that each item on the program flowed in a seamless manner.
Rev. James A. Labla, the Acting Executive Director of the National Commission on Higher Education (NCHE), Republic of Liberia served as the Motivational Speaker. Speaking also during the program, was our Special Guest and NDUCL Board Member, His Excellency Henri Kastoun, Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic to Liberia.
Some invited families and friends of the participants graced this inaugural closing program with their presence.
