Steps to Manage and Enjoy University Life

After approximately two years of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and online learning, students are getting ready to start going back to university life. For many, the concept of university life is new and the whole idea of going back into the onsite learning is raising concern and fear.
It is important for students to be able to balance the online learning strategies while benefiting to the maximum with the on-campus opportunities that may come.

Here are a few steps one can take in order to enjoy and manage the ‘coming back into this college life:

1- Equip Yourself with Digital Technology
The current life that we are living is a mixture of online and onsite; it is crucial for students to have the means and access to the digital technology needed. This ranges from having a functioning computer off-campus, being able to access the internet wherever they are, and having basic IT knowledge to tackle any obstacle.
The internet is filled with solutions for any problem, and it would be of great benefit if the student could join a social media group chat with his/her classmates.

2- Build Personal Connections
Either it is online or on-campus grounds, building connections is important. Students should make sure they stand out in the class, learning the names of classmates and teachers. Noting down all the dates, numbers, and office hours of needed staff members and administrative workers.
Taking time to build face-to-face connections with the limited period one might have on-campus ground is also of great importance. Simply, students should benefit from every person around them to ensure an enjoyable year.

3- Make Time for Yourself
Although it is important to ensure the building of strong connections and having access to knowledge around campus, it is also as important to take care of one’s self. Full-time study is similar to full-time work; students need to give themselves time to take a break and tune out of the ongoing hustle and bustle of university life.
Juggling all these tasks together is not easy, students should make sure they have organized schedules and include rest and exercise to stay mentally and physically healthy.

One cannot know what lies ahead, but being well prepared will help students flourish in university.
